Dallas independence day celebration

From Friday through Sunday, there are pool parties galore at the new Design District hotel. You can book a day pass, day bed, or cabana each day. The event is family and pet friendly. Head to La Ventana in downtown Dallas on July 3 for a block party from 4 pm to midnight.

The tradition will continue as thousands will be in attendance making this an important event in the Dallas cultural landscape. This year's festival will begin with a Cultural Expressions Showcase of traditional folkloric dance and performances on the theater stage. The Fiesta and Grito will be held on the south lawn hosting food vendors, exhibitors and more performances. A "Night Under the Stars" will honor individuals selected for the coveted Miguel Hidalgo Award with an outdoor dinner and awards program on the plaza surrounded by sculptures and a starry night.
