Big phoenix cinemas

Cons low hours and pay. Pros unlimited popcorn and soda. Cons no place for advancement, no raise in pay. Something is better than nothing. Decent company, especially for supplemental income. Nothing more to be said. A typical day at work for me included being at work on time, stocking inventory, and cleaning my station before the first set of movies started.

Cleaning my station required sweeping, moping, and checking bathrooms, Next as the customer entered the building there were greeted, sold tickets as well as concession items then directed to there theater.

As the day come to a close i would clean behind concession stand, that included sweeping, mopping, wiping down and putting items away. After my task was complete i would stay behind until the last movie ending and check the theater to make sure there weren't any customer lacking behind, Next i would tell my manager my tasks were complete, and she would relieve me. Pros Free Movies twice a week. Cons Short lunch break, no benefits. We want to help you find great companies.

The managers are so so, with a few being the best you will ever meet! The few that are the best will make you feel welcomed and will work with you to be better at your job. Was this review helpful? Report Share. Phoenix was a good place to work at for a college student needing a summer time gig.

The job gave good discounts on movies and snacks. That atmosphere was okay, but everyone I worked with was fun. Always seeing new people, it's great to see all the cultures that are in our city. We would always have something to do for work whether it be make popcorn, clean, or sweep theaters.

Pros free movies. My favorite job so far. This job has been one of the best I have had so far and I would love to do it again. A typical work day consisted of selling tickets and concessions, stocking and cleaning with tons of busy time and down time. I learned time management, customer service, and food handling with this job.

Management was rough but not intolerable. My general manager at the time, who is no longer there, was overly-strict and had to have everything a specific way or you went home. He was not afraid to run the company short-staffed if an employee didn't do something as specifically directed. My coworkers and fellow upper-management were wonderful to work with, people got along and supplied team-work. The hardest part of the job was summer season when the rush would be overwhelming.

There were times when it was hard to stay on top of stock and the line so we would often run out of prepped items. Having both up and down time was the most enjoyable part of my job because I always knew when it would be busy and when it would be slow.

It was easy to stock and plan around when the rushes would hit. Cons low hours and pay. Pros unlimited popcorn and soda. Cons no place for advancement, no raise in pay.
