I worked at Afni for 6 years. There was ample opportunity to learn , lots of sales coaching from knowledgeable employees.

Sales Chat Representative. Remote-Customer Service Representative. I did not work for Afni long, but in the time that I did , it was a okay experience. The only reason I stayed here was because of the pay raise that we had gotten. CSR were paid so low before the pay raise and they expected so much. The training is to much to know and boring. The logging into two different and slow system is irritating. Having a strict schedule for training and bidding on a new schedule really sucks. Especially if you never get a weekend off or chance to bid for it. The pay and benefits are good. If you are a more hands on person this isn't the job for you. Pretty much you have to train yourself with infomanager and the ig system.
Just to help a customer get a supervisor you have to go thru 8 templates just to receive an answer. Training sucks. Teach you what u need to know for a call the day of. Then when you ask a question there's no empathy something they want you to have for the customers. Pros Benefits, pay. Cons Weak training, no life. What I like about Afni, is that your knowledge, expertise and ideas are more important than your title. So you can see your ideas get used, even if you don't have a fancy title. I also love that I get to wear many hats. Some companies only allow you to do one thing, never really stretching yourself. You also have loads of ways to grow and develop. Pros training. The atmosphere was filthy and equipment was always breaking down. Supervisors were lazy and caused more trouble and frustration and actually instigated customer problems. Rule enforcement was very subjective and your every moment is monitored by people trying to catch you making a mistake.
No help - just constant write-ups. This place is so desperate for help they hire anyone. Training was a joke. High turnover at all levels. Good supervisors move on. Metric driven which measured performance on things you do not control. Supervisors ignore requests for assistance and stand around in groups carrying on so loudly customers complain about the background noise. Overall just a bad experience.
